The Richard E. Stierwalt Alumni House


The door is always open and the welcome mat is always out at the Stierwalt Alumni House.  This building belongs to all UIndy graduates.  During your visit to campus, come check it out!

The Stierwalt Alumni House is a the corner of Windermire and Otterbein, just one block south of Hanna Avenue where Buxton Hall once stood.  Regular hours are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Guest parking is available in the visitor parking spaces in the lot behind the Stierwalt Alumni House or on the neighborhood streets. 

Dedicated in June 2001, the building's namesake is philanthropist and successful businessman Richard E. Stierwalt, a UIndy trustee and alumnus of the classes of 1978 and 1980.

This building features current and historical campus photos and paintings in the James W. Magee Alumni Parlor, a multipurpose room, and two-story atrium.  You will also find inside the Offices of Alumni Relations and the Student Alumni Association, as well as Advancement Research, Communications, Community Programs, Fundraising, Marketing and Publications.
